ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Thursday informed the Senate that the government would ensure payment of 46 per cent increase in the pensions of Employees Old Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice raised by Mian Muhammad Ateeq Shaikh about the non-implementation of notification by the government regarding 46 per cent increase in the pension of EOBI pensioners, he refuted that increase in pension was not being paid.
He said if the government announced increase in the pension then it
would certainly be implemented.
Meanwhile, Chairman Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Kamil Ali Agha presented the report of the committee on budgetary allocations and its utilization by the ministry for the current fiscal year 2015-16.
