Imran Khan exposes so-called secular, democratic face of India

PESHAWAR, Jan 22 (APP):Minister of State for Interior, Shahryar Khan Afridi here on Tuesday said that all facts leading to Sahiwal tragedy would be brought before theParliament once the Joint Investigation Team comes up with its report.

Addressing a function at Agha Khan Auditorium University of Peshawar,
the Minister said that no religion and law permitted the government to givepunishment to the culprits without being convicted.He said law would take its own course in this brutal incident and culprits would be made an example for others.
He said exemplary punishment would be given to responsible for Sahiwal tragedy after JIT Report submitted to the government.

He explained that JIT Report would fix the responsibility against elements
involved in this inhuman act, saying no one was allowed to spray volley of
bullets on the innocent citizens.There would be no compromise on the supremacy of law and justice in the country, he added.

He said it was responsibility of educational institutes to discourage growing of tendencies of violence, extremism, and religious intolerance and promote harmony in the society.
