Govt to bridge gap between rich, poor: Fawad

ISLAMABAD, Mar 29 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Friday said the government wanted to bridge the gap between rich and poor people while efforts were underway to amend laws for the purpose.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said the accountability process should be continued till its logical end as it was desire of the nation.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was the most popular political leader of the country as per recent survey conducted by an international organization.
The minister said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was the leader of internal Sindh while Shehbaz Sharif was the leader of just central Punjab.
He said there was no political leader across the the country who could compete the popularity of PM Imran Khan.
To a question, he said the courts were giving decisions on merit.
He said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should have to focus on mega corruption cases.
Fawad said the government was taking measures to stabilizing the country’s economy as every institution got affected by the damaged economy.
Replying to another query, he said Minister of Planning, Development and Reforms Khusro Bakhtiar was doing his business transparently and no body has right to spread disinformation against anyone. Those involved in deformation should also be held accountable and punished, he maintained.
Replying to another question, he said the government was not only concerned for opposition leadership in jails but for all prisoners.
