Govt taking steps to promote tourism: Asad M. Khan

ISLAMABAD, May 2 (APP):Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad M. Khan has said that the government has taken concrete measures to facilitate tourism in the country and new visa policy was significant step in that regard.

The ambassador who was briefing the Pakistani American community in his first visit to Houston, appreciated the contribution of Overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan’s development over many decades, said a press release received here.

He emphasized that the present government was keenly interested in facilitating our diaspora and urged them to take lead in exploring investment opportunities through joint ventures in Pakistan.

The ambassador met a large cross section of Pakistani American community from various parts of Texas and belonging to diverse walks of life at a ‘meet and greet’ event organized by the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH).
