Afridi, Kamal reviews Balochistan's security matters

QUETTA, Apr 15 (APP):State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari on Monday met Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal and discussed different issues related to law and other situation including complete elimination of terrorism, launch of effective operations against terrorists and their facilitators.

The three in the meeting decided to strengthen the coordination between the federal and provincial law enforcement institutions and ensure complete implementation of the National Action Plan.

Balochistan’s Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango, Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr. Akhtar Nazir, IGFC North Major General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, IG Police Mohsin Hassan Butt, Additional Secretary Interior, DIG CTD, commissioner and deputy commissioner Quetta were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, the executives look over the edgy situation shaped in the provincial capital after the occurrence of the Hazarganji blast and review the security matters of the province.

Condemning the incident, the participants asserted it to be a conspiracy intended to destabilize the country and expressed a resolve to take stern action against elements responsible for this tragedy.

Afridi highly appreciated the provincial government’s efforts for maintaining peace in Balochistan, and assured the federal government’s full support in this regard.

He said making Balochistan serene and progressive was Prime Minister Imran Khan’s top priority and he had come to Balochistan on PM’s special directives with a message that the federal government was with the provincial set up in all efforts to eradicate terrorism.

He said measures taken for the development and restoration of peace in the province under the leadership of CM Jam Kamal were worth mentioning and highly valuable.

“To keep up the continuity of these measures, the concerned federal departments will cooperate closely with the provincial government”, the state minister added.

Talking on the occasion, the chief minister said all steps would be ensured for sustainable peace.

During the past one year, security forces held successful operations while taking effective action against terrorists and their facilitators, the CM said.

The CM while extending condolences to the families of the victims said we were equal in these moments of sorrow with Hazara community.

The chief minister said, “we have visited the families of the fatalities, who heard our words with patience and expressed satisfaction over the measures taken for the protection of Hazara community.”
