Govt takes steps to observe merit in all fields: Sardar Yousuf

ISLAMABAD, Nov 27 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Friday said that the government has taken several steps to observe merit strictly in all government institutions.
Taking to media persons outside the Parliament House, the minister said that a criteria in this regard existed in all the government department and it is being implemented strictly.
To a question regarding parliamentarian’s involvement for inducting people in NADRA, he said it was the responsibility of the Authority to follow rules and regulations in the recruitment process.
Sardar Yousuf said that he never recruited any person in the government department, adding that “we are public representatives and people come asking for employment but the concerned department are asked to oblige them according to law.”
