Govt sincere to prepare ToRs: Bazinjo

ISLAMABAD, Jun 6 (APP): Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil
Bizenjo Monday said the government is sincere to prepare Terms
of Reference (ToRs) with consensus but opposition seem to
be least interested in the matter.

Talking to a private news channel, he said, it was wrong perception that the government was using delaying tactics on formulation of ToRs.

“The government intend to formulate such ToRs that are not person specific rather address the issue across the board,” he said.

The minister said, the members of Parliamentary committee from the government side had suggested to avoid media statements until ToRs are finalized with consensus but the opposition rejected it that is causing difficulties.

The minister said it was necessary to avoid blame game and negative remarks to make the process smooth.

He urged the need for legislation to check illegal businesses abroad after revelation of Panama Papers and said, the Parliament is the best forum for sorting out such issues.

He expressed the hope that some way out would be sorted out to
address the issue of Panama Papers and unanimous ToRs would be formulated.
