Govt responsible to end decades of tolerance for encounters: Mazari

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21 (APP):Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari Monday said the incumbent government was responsible to end decades of tolerance for killings through encounters in the country.The minister, in a tweet on her social media account, said: “From Rao Anwar to the Sahiwal incident – as part of the govt it is our duty to end decades of tolerance for killings thru “encounters”. What was tolerated, even encouraged by prev govts / state must end now as we strengthen Rule of Law & accountability for all.”
