Govt proposes measures in budget to provide relief to salaried class: Senator Afnan

ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Senator Afnanullah has termed the federal budget as balanced and said that the government has proposed measures in the budget to provide relief to the salaried class and improve education, health, agriculture, business and trade.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, Senator Afnanullah said that the budget is balanced, tax relief has been given to the salaried class, inflation has been kept at 7 percent.
A development budget of Rs 13 to 14 billion has been given priority and employment opportunities will be created. He said that government employees also protest before the budget. Insha Allah, their concerns will also be addressed.
The prime minister has approved a 10 percent increase for salaried government employees, while the Finance Ministry had proposed a six to seven percent increase. To reduce the disparity in salaries, the salaries of eligible employees have also been increased by 30 percent.
He said that the government has not taken verbal accumulation but practical measures regarding the environment. Pakistan is also moving forward in a better way in this regard at the global level. He added that FB  Yes, work is also underway on reforms in the customs sector, which will promote business and investment and create employment opportunities.
