LAHORE, Jan 13 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Sunday said that provision of standard and modern medical facilities to the public is top priority of the provincial
government.He said that a roadmap had been designed for development
of the Health Department so that modern medical facilities
could be provided to masses.
He expressed these views in his meeting with various
delegations, here.
He said that all resources would be utilised for the purpose and reforms would be brought
to improve traditional healthcare system.
He said that access to standard medical facilities was
basic right of patients. Shortage of resources would not be
allowed to hamper the aim of betterment in the health sector.
He said that the best, capable and professional workforce
would be inducted in the health sector. The CM said that
result-oriented steps were being taken to improve health
facilities and he himself was monitoring the situation.
Sardar Usman Buzdar said that serving the ailing humanity
was the most noble thing and the health sector was a sacred
profession.
"People belonging to this profession earn both the
world and hereafter and we salute those doctors who perform
their duties as a mission."
The CM assured that doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who serve the humanity would be given
the best reward.
