ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP): Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb Saturday said the government was implementing a three pronged strategy for revitalizing Pakistan Television, an old icon.
The strategy included efficient utilization of human resource and professional development, revival of indigenous production and establishment of contacts with PTV icons, and introduction of public private partnership for making it financially self sustaining and a profit earning organisation, she added.
The minister was speaking at a function held here in connection with the 52nd anniversary of PTV. She also cut a cake to mark the occasion.
She said the PTV had promoted the soft and positive image of Pakistan all over the world, which was need of the hour.
Instead of spreading sensationalism, the PTV had adopted the policy of telecasting authentic news which were never contradicted, she added.
Marriyum asked the PTV employees and management to support
her efforts for the development of their organisation.
