ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP):Special Advisor to Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Usman Dar Thursday said that youth constituted 65 percent of total population and the government had created opportunities for their socio-economic empowerment.

He was addressing at launch of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan National Youth Development Programme here at Jinnah Convention Centre.

Dar said that under this new program subsidized business loans would be provided to the potential young entrepreneurs for the promotion of SME sector in the country. 

For the very first time in Pakistan, through the platform of PM Kamyab Jawan, he said government’s prime objective was to work for the youth socio-economic development for having their productive role in the country’s progress.

He said that an amount of Rs 100 billion had been allocated for Kamyab Jawan Program to facilitate one million youth across the country.

Dar said that Online Portal had started on website, a person could apply for loan of Rs 50,000 to Rs5,000,000 on easy returned policy, he added.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government strongly believed in merit and transparency and would not tolerate any kind of corruption.

He said ‘Skill for All Programme’ would be included under which, technical and vocational training would be imparted.

He said that another initiative under the Kamyab Jawan Programme would be ‘Startup Pakistan Programme’ and under this programme, potential young entrepreneurs would be trained and mentored to conceive, incubate their business plans having access to digital incubation platform.
