Govt committed to resolve traders community grievances

RAWALPINDI, Feb 03 (APP):Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar Monday said the government was working on a comprehensive plan to address grievances of business community.

Speaking on the launching ceremony of a conference titled “Digital Exports and Industries Automation Conference” organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry(RCCI) here at a local hotel, he said the government was striving hard to balance gas and electricity prices so that cost of doing business could be reduced.

“The government is committed to provide maximum facilities to Investors and traders, adding, equal opportunities and incentives would be provided to local manufacturers, industrialists and investors,” he added.

The governor said the government was engaged to take onboard the business community about finance matters.

The prime minister has given special directives for resolving traders issues of of refund, he added.

He appreciated RCCI for organizing the conference and asked the chamber to send their proposal on tax matters to his office which would be addressed on priority.

Earlier, RCCI President Saboor Malik gave a brief introduction on IT Conference and Expo and apprised the participants about the scope and challenges faced by the IT companies in the country.

He demanded for IT park and University at Punjab House annexe in Rawalpindi. He also emphasized on lowering inflation via lowering Petroleum Oil Lubricants (POL) prices and interest rate.

The major aim of this expo was to encourage the business community to be aware of the latest trends and promote the use of advanced technology in promoting trade, he added.

Later, the governor visited stalls and appreciated work on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and medical equipment and digital solutions.
