Governor visits North Waziristan, pays tributes to martyrs

KP governor condemns Balochistan terror attacks

PESHAWAR, Sep 06 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Farman has said that we would not forget our national heroes that laid their lives for defense of the country.
He was addressing a prestigious ceremony held on the eve of Defense Day at Younas Stadium, Miranshah in North Waziristan on Thursday.
Paying rich tributes to martyrs, he said their sacrifices for the country’s defense would always be remembered.
He said that ensuring peace, stability and security in the country is the top most priority of the new government.
Governor said that ensuring development and progress of tribal districts as per aspirations of people is also the priority of the government.
He said that thousands of youth and elders have sacrificed their lives for security of the country and the entire nation would always remember their sacrifices with respect.
He also praised role of tribal people for peace and stability of the country.
Governor also went to the residence of Shaheed Political Muharrar, Hameedullah. Expressing solidarity with the relatives of martyrs, he said, they should not consider them alone and the entire nation is standing beside them.
He also laid floral wreaths at the monument of martyrs and prayed for their souls.
He also gave away gifts to the relatives of martyrs.
Earlier, upon arrival at Younas Khan Stadium, tribal elders warmly welcomed the Governor, Shah Farman and offered him traditional Qullah.
GOC 7 Div Major General, Mumtaz Hussain, Deputy Commissioner North Waziristan and relatives of martyrs and elders of the area were present on the occasion.
