Governor Sindh meets Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, Jun 16 (APP): Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, on Tuesday, called on Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at Parliament House.

During the meeting, both leaders held a detailed exchange of views on the country’s overall political situation, economic outlook, the federal budget, democratic stability, and matters related to public welfare.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani congratulated Nihal Hashmi on assuming the office of Governor Sindh and conveyed his best wishes for success in his new responsibilities. He expressed confidence that the Governor would continue serving the people in accordance with democratic values and constitutional principles.

Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi paid tribute to Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani’s political wisdom, parliamentary experience, and long-standing public service.

He said that he had learned a great deal from the Chairman of the Senate’s experience and acknowledged that Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and his family’s political, social, and spiritual contributions are widely respected and commendable.

The Governor further appreciated the Chairman of the Senate’s services for the uplift of the people recognizing his continued efforts toward national development.

Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of strengthening democratic institutions, enhancing the role of Parliament, and continuing collective efforts to address public concerns and promote national progress.
