Governor signs Parole, Probation Bill 2019 into law

LAHORE, Sep 05 (APP):Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Thursday signed Punjab Parole and Probation Bill 2019 into law under which prisoners from other provinces could avail immediate release.

The Parole and Probation Bill 2019 was passed by Punjab Assembly, under new Law prisoners from other provinces in Punjab jails will be able to benefit from the service of immediate parole, while prisoners of drug addiction and petty crimes will also get relief under the law.

Provincial Minister for Jails Zawaar Hussain Warraich called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and discussed issues including problems faced by prisoners.
