Governor Kundi briefs Chairman Senate on KP political situation, party outreach
ISLAMABAD, Jun 30 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi called on Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani here on Tuesday and discussed the country’s overall political situation.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi briefed the Senate chairman on the Pakistan Peoples Party’s workers’ and youth conventions held in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He also apprised him of ongoing contacts with different political parties regarding the protection of the province’s constitutional and democratic rights, besides discussing other matters of mutual interest.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani appreciated the Governor’s efforts for safeguarding the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and acknowledged his role in promoting political engagement in the province.
He also expressed satisfaction over the successful organization and continuity of the party’s workers’ and youth conventions, paying tribute to the joint efforts of Governor Kundi and the provincial leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
