Governor KP felicitates newly-elected body of Saraiki Journalists Forum Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jan 16 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday has congratulated the newly-elected body of the Saraiki Journalists Forum Pakistan.

Governor Kundi extended greetings to the newly-elected President, senior journalist Yawar Abbas Bukhari and his cabinet for securing victory in the Forum’s elections.

He also conveyed his best wishes to Secretary General Nayer Sarhadi, Finance Secretary Tariq Naseer Rao, Vice Presidents Nawabzada Khurshid, Khalid Shah Siddiq, Nayer Irfan-ul-Haq and Farhat Fatima, as well as Joint Secretaries Dilshad Ahmad, Mehwar Muhammad, Arshad Abbas Malik, Ijaz Ali Saghar, Umaid Hijana, Nasir Abbas, and Asia Zaman Malik, Information Secretaries Nawabzada Shah Ali and Social Media Secretary Muhammad Asif Aasi, along with M. Yaqub Alvi and other members of the newly-elected governing body.

The Governor said that platforms like the Saraiki Journalists Forum played a vital role in promoting regional language, culture and journalistic values.

He expressed hope that the new leadership would contribute effectively to the advancement of professional journalism, resolution of journalists’ issues and promotion of national cohesion.

Governor Kundi further stated that journalism served as a pillar for strengthening democracy and that the government would continue supporting initiatives for the welfare and professional development of the media community.
