Governor House opens for public to give a feeling of ownership to people: Governor

PESHAWAR, Sep 30 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakthunkhwa Shah
Farman has said that doors of Governor House Peshawar has been opened for the
general public in line with the policy of the PTI to give a feeling of
ownership and check to the people of the province on their assets.
Talking to the visiting delegations of Frontier College for
Women Peshawar, Girls College Kohat and representatives of electronic channels
in the lush green field of Governor House, the Governor said that in the first
phase the students of girls colleges have been provided the opportunity to
visit the Governor House and it would be opened for the general public in the
later stage.
The Governor informed on the occasion that planning was
afoot to allocate a separate park for the women in the Governor House and set
up a museum for the general public.
On the request of the students, the Governor allowed them to
visit the interior portion of the Governor House.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
(PTI) government on Sunday opened the historic Governor’s House Peshawar for
general public. The palatial building will remain open from 10am to 4pm every
Sunday.Prime Minisgter Imran Khan in
his maiden visit to Peshawar on Friday last had instructed the KP government to
open the palatial building to public.On the first day of its
opening, students of two girls collages would visit the building, however, it would
be open to families in future.
