Governor discusses security, economic situation with US, Japan ambassadors

PESHAWAR, Oct 25 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Governor Shah Farman Thursday said that people of the province have faced worst
situation due to terrorism however peace had been restored in the province due to policies of PTI led previous government and efforts of security forces.
He said the PTI-Led previous provincial government took pragmatic steps to maintain peace in the province.
The governor expressed these views at a meeting with Ambassador of United States of America, Paul Jones, who called on him at Governor House, during his visit to Peshawar.
He emphasized upon strengthening of people to people contact between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and US to bring positive change in the region.
US Ambassador Jones expressed the U.S. government’s desire to work with the Government of Pakistan towards the fulfillment of the common goals. He also appreciated the hospitality he received.
Earlier, Ambassador of Japan Yusuke Shindo also called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman
at Governor House and discussed political, economic and security issues in the province including the newly merged tribal districts.
Japan Ambassador showed interest to invest in various sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The governor said our province was enriched in various natural resources and Japan government can invest in the field of agriculture and mineral industry in particular.
