KARACHI, Nov 3 (APP): Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan
on Tuesday said fast evolving relationship between Pakistan and
Austria will mutually benefit the two countries in the spheres of
investment, trade and culture.
Talking to Dr. Brigitt Blaha, the Ambassador of Austria to
Pakistan, who called on the Governor here Tuesday, he said Austrian
assistance in building dams through provision of technical support as
well as investment was highly appreciable.
“Investments made by the Austrian government in the energy sector
of the country would go a long way and would be a milestone in
Pak-Austria friendship,” he said.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad acknowledging that Austria was a
culturally rich country said similarities between Pakistan and Austria
was also a major factor in bringing the two close to one another.
Ambassador Blaha sharing details of investments made by Austria
in Pakistan said this holds immense opportunities in the energy
sector.Mentioning that people in her country were extremely fond of
music said this fondness bring Pakistanis and Austrian further close
to each other.With the very perspective a 20 member of delegation of musicians
from Austria are about to arrive Pakistan and get introduced
Pakistanis to an important aspect of Austrian culture.
Dr. Brigitt Blaha said there was considerably high demand for
many of the Pakistani products in her country and the Austrian embassy
is doing its best to not only pave way for Austrian investment but
also facilitate Pakistani entrepreneurs keen to gain access to
Austrian market.
