Google’s presence marks major milestone for Pakistan’s Digital economy: Shaza
ISLAMABAD, Aug 18 (APP):Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has termed the opening of Google’s first office in Pakistan a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation and a reflection of growing confidence in Pakistan’s digital economy.
The Minister stated Google’s local presence was a landmark development for Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and a step towards Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of Digital Nation Pakistan.
Minister IT highlighted that the government was focused on connecting Pakistani talent with global opportunities and ensuring that digital transformation creates greater opportunities for youth, women, startups and businesses.
The Minister further added that the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications would continue to strengthen collaboration with Google in digital skills, Artificial Intelligence, cloud technologies, education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
