Goods transporters thank maritime minister for help in resolving parking issues
ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP):A six-member delegation of the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance called on Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry today and thanked him for his role in helping resolve their parking issues.
The delegation, led by alliance president Malik Shahzad Awan and comprising Nisar Hussain Jafri, Bakhtawar Khan Wazir and Umar Farooq, met the minister at his office in Islamabad.
Junaid Chaudhry said he stood by the commitments made during his previous meeting with representatives of the association and informed the delegation that 17 acres of land offered for construction of a parking facility was still available.
Regarding the axle-load management issue, the minister asked the association to hold a meeting with representatives of the ports and work out a mutually acceptable solution.
