Dera Ismail Khan , Nov 07 (APP):The inaugural ceremony of the Gomal University Alumni Association was held with great enthusiasm, marked by the participation of distinguished former students who have excelled in various fields.
The event was organized by Dr. Irfan Ullah Khan, In-charge of the Gomal University Alumni Association.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of Gomal University, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Shakeebullah, Vice Chancellor of the Agricultural University, graced the occasion as a special participant.
A notable feature of the ceremony was that all the esteemed guests were proud alumni of Gomal University (Gomalians), returning to their alma mater with a renewed spirit of service and commitment.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Shakeebullah said, “Gomal University gave us knowledge, confidence, and a passion for serving our nation. Today we gather here with the shared aim of giving back to our alma mater. The establishment of the Alumni Association is a historic and positive milestone for the university.”
He added that academic and research collaboration between Gomal University and the Agricultural University would be further strengthened to contribute effectively to the region’s development.
The ceremony was attended by several notable Gomalians, including Prof. Dr. Khair ul Zaman (Vice Chancellor, Qurtuba University), Brig. (R) Abdul Rahim Khan, Lal Hussain (General Manager, Zarai Taraqiati Bank), Muhammad Shoaib Khan Qaisrani (Senior Vice President), Sajad Baloch (Assistant Commissioner), Saeedullah Marwat (Journalist), and Mansoor Ahmad (Director, Local Government).
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal said that Gomal University takes great pride in its alumni who are serving in key national institutions. He expressed hope that the Alumni Association would strengthen the bond between the university and its former students.
Concluding the ceremony, Dr. Irfan Ullah Khan thanked all distinguished guests and noted that the day would be remembered as a landmark moment in the history of Gomal University.
