PESHAWAR, Jan 13 (APP):Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muhammad Humayun Khan has termed the establishment of a Girls Technical & Vocational Institute in Malakand by the PPP Sindh Government and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as a revolutionary initiative.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that women of Malakand will acquire modern technical and vocational skills in various trades through this institution, which will not only enhance employment opportunities for them, rather will also play a positive role in the overall development of the region.
In this connection, Muhammad Humayun Khan met Executive Director Waheeda Mahathir in Karachi to discuss matters related to the Technical & Vocational Institute.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the establishment and construction of the Girls Technical & Vocational Institute in Batkhela, Malakand, in accordance with the directives of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Executive Director Waheeda Mahathir briefed the PPP Secretary General on the proposed Girls Technical & Vocational Institute in Malakand. The briefing covered the objectives of the project, proposed departments, and a comprehensive strategy for providing modern technical training to women.
Muhammad Humayun Khan appreciated the well-planned strategy and effective performance devised for the Technical & Vocational Institute for Women.
He stated that the initiative taken by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to establish a Girls Technical & Vocational Institute in Malakand is a strong step towards women empowerment.
He further emphasized that the establishment of the institute by the PPP Sindh Government in Batkhela, Malakand, is a transformational move that will put local women on the path of economic self-reliance.
He described the institute as a valuable gift from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the brave women of Malakand.
Concluding his remarks, Muhammad Humayun Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of Malakand to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh Government for ensuring representation and launching development projects in the region.
