ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP): Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani arrived in Geneva on Tuesday, leading a high-level Pakistani parliamentary delegation at the Global Speakers’ Conference, set to take place from July 29 to 31, 2025.
The conference will bring together parliamentary leaders from around the world to discuss pressing global issues, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, peace, justice, and international engagement.
The Pakistani delegation includes Senator Mir Dostain Domki and Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate. Upon arrival at Geneva Airport, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Bilal Ahmed.
During the conference, Chairman Gilani is expected to hold key bilateral meetings with speakers and parliamentary leaders from various countries.
The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation among parliaments, protecting democratic values, and finding collective solutions to global challenges.
The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to parliamentary diplomacy and its efforts to strengthen its voice and role on the international stage.
