ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP): Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Monday, said that chess is a timeless game that promotes critical thinking, discipline, patience and mutual respect while fostering peace, inclusion and understanding among people.
In his message on International Chess Day, he said that chess transcends barriers of age, gender, language and social status, making it a powerful tool for education, youth development and social harmony.
He said its values were closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly quality education, gender equality and peaceful societies.
The Chairman Senate reaffirmed commitment to promoting sports and intellectual activities that empower youth, strengthen national unity and contribute to a more inclusive and progressive Pakistan.
