ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Stephan Schlangheck Thursday called on Federal Minster for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan here at the Ministry.
In the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest with a specific reference to the generous support offered by German government with regard to the Afghan refugees, said a press release.
The minister appreciated the support of German government in development-oriented projects through KFW (German state-owned development bank) funding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province under bilateral cooperation with the |Ministry of SAFRON.
Sultan informed the German envoy about Pakistan’s initiative of hosting Afghan refugees over the past 40 years.
He mentioned that the traditional and humanitarian assistance to refuges was done in the past and would continue.
