GUJRAT, Oct 20 (APP):The Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) launched a digital consumer survey in the Gujrat region in compliance with the directives of the government
to enhance consumer services and ensure transparency in the billing system.
According to a GEPCO spokesperson, field teams started visiting households across
the district to collect essential data, including national identity card numbers, mobile phone numbers, and details regarding electricity connection ownership.
The spokesperson said that accurate consumer information would help ensure transparent
billing, prompt redressal of complaints, facilitation of online bill payments, verification
of legal connections, prevention of electricity theft, and the future implementation
of smart metering.
The GEPCO urged consumers to extend full cooperation by providing correct information
to make services more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven.
