ISLAMABAD, Mar 08 (APP):Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi Friday said women were playing great role in the development of the country and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking all possible steps to empower them.
He stated this while addressing a function in connection with the International Women Day, jointly organized by Islamabad Police and Oxfam Pakistan, at Police Lines Headquarters.
He said it was Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to enhance the dignity and equality of women in the society.
Shehryar Afridi while highlighting the importance of the day said, “It is time to realize the impact and significance of women” in the development of the country. He said humanity was incomplete without women as they played a significant role in the shape of mothers, wives, sisters and daughters.
