ISLAMABAD, Mar 03 (APP):Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad campus, on Tuesday organized a comprehensive orientation session to welcome newly admitted students for the upcoming academic session.
Hundreds of fresh students, carrying dreams of a bright future, participated in the event. Welcome stalls were set up to receive students stepping onto the university campus for the first time. In addition to departmental introductory sessions, a central orientation ceremony was held at the university auditorium.
Vice Chancellor, Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, warmly welcomed the new students and described them as the most valued segment of the university community.
“Students are our top priority. They come first in our priority list, followed by faculty members,” he stated.
Dr Shinwari highlighted that the Federal Urdu University is a symbol of Pakistan’s identity as it was established in the name of Urdu.
He noted that the institution is offering quality education in diverse disciplines including science and technology, business management, social sciences, mass communication and pharmacy.
Campus Incharge, Dr Saba Bashir, also welcomed the new entrants and provided an overview of various academic departments.
She emphasized that the university offers higher education on merit with comparatively low fees, enabling students to build productive careers under the guidance of experienced researchers and qualified faculty members.
The orientation session was also attended by Director Admissions Dr Ahmed Raza, heads of departments, and faculty members, who extended their support and guidance to the newly admitted students.
