Funeral prayer of Osama Warraich held

ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (APP): The funeral prayer of Deputy Commissioner Chitral Osama Ahmed Warraich, who died in the aircraft crash on Wednesday, was offered here on Thursday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khatak, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Members of the National Assembly, federal secretaries, civil and military officers, judges and prominent citizens attended the funeral.

Osama was given salute by a contingent of Chitral Levies and police.
The KP Chief Minister, Major General Asif Ghafoor, Commissioner Malakand and citizens organizations laid wreaths at the grave of Osama.

A large number of people came from Abbottabad and Chitral to take part in the funeral.

Osama’s colleagues, who were heart broken on his death, remembered him as a capable and honest officer. He was popular among people and did a lot of work in his short life of 30 years.

Expressing his emotions, Osama’s maternal uncle and former Inspector General of Motorways Police Zulfikar Ahmed Cheema said Osama was his nephew, son and friend.

Osama had a pleasant personality and he was respectful to his elders and helpful to people, he added.

Zulfikar Cheema said Osama initiated a lot of welfare and development projects. His family was in a state of grief on his tragic death.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant patience to the bereaved members of the family.
