ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):The Pakistan Airports Authority will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise at Islamabad International Airport on Thursday, October 30, (today) in line with international aviation safety standards.
The drill, held under the guidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is designed to assess the operational readiness, coordination, and response capabilities of all departments responsible for managing emergency situations.
According to airport officials, the exercise will simulate an aircraft accident, with active participation from rescue, firefighting, medical, and law enforcement teams.
Passengers and the public have been advised not to be alarmed by the presence of smoke, ambulances, or emergency vehicles in and around the airport during the exercise, as these will be part of the planned simulation.
