ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (APP): Chairman Prime Minister Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan extended his heartiest felicitations to the entire nation on Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day on Friday, saying the country’s youth held the key to carrying Pakistan from the legacy of its founding generation towards a stronger, prosperous and rising nation, and urging young Pakistanis to embrace education, skills, entrepreneurship and national service to shape the country’s future.
Rana Mashhood said Independence Day is an occasion to remember the immense sacrifices and historic struggle that culminated in the creation of Pakistan.
He said Pakistan emerged as an independent nation through the exemplary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices of millions of Muslims.
The occasion, he added, also represented the fulfilment of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s dream and vision.
Rana Mashhood said the nation must value the freedom achieved through immense sacrifices and fulfil its responsibility to contribute to Pakistan’s development, prosperity and stability.
He said the youth are not merely Pakistan’s future but the driving force capable of transforming the country’s aspirations into reality.
“The bright future of Pakistan is linked with talented, educated and skilled youth,” he said, urging young Pakistanis to equip themselves with knowledge, skills and a spirit of service to the nation.
The Chairman said the Prime Minister Youth Programme is providing young Pakistanis with opportunities in education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship to help them become productive citizens and active partners in national development.
Rana Mashhood called upon the youth to follow Quaid-i-Azam’s principles of unity, faith and discipline and make these values the foundation of their individual and national progress.
He said Independence Day should not be limited to celebrations but should also serve as an occasion to renew the national resolve to build a stronger, prosperous and great Pakistan.
“Let us not merely celebrate freedom; let us pledge to strengthen Pakistan and carry forward the dream of our founding generation,” he said.
Rana Mashhood expressed confidence that Pakistan’s young generation, with its talent, determination and potential, would play a decisive role in taking the country towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
