From counter-terrorism to capital patrols, IGP Rizvi reviews Islamabad’s policing readiness
ISLAMABAD, Sep 07 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Monday chaired a meeting of senior police officers to review the capital’s law and order situation, counter-terrorism measures, security arrangements, traffic management and the performance of the Capital Patrols Unit.
An official told APP that the meeting held a detailed review of various policing matters aimed at strengthening security and improving the overall effectiveness of police operations in the federal capital.
The performance of the Capital Patrols Unit was also reviewed, along with measures related to traffic management and security arrangements across Islamabad.
IGP Rizvi directed senior officers to further strengthen measures for the protection of citizens’ lives and property and effective prevention of crime.
He also instructed officers to improve the delivery of timely and public-friendly police services, with focus on effective policing and better facilitation of citizens.
