ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (APP):The fourth shipment of relief goods from China has arrived at Karachi Port by sea, comprising 1,000 sleeping bags, 14,000 tents and 12,000 blankets provided as humanitarian assistance by the Chinese government.
The consignment was transported by trucks to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warehouse in Karachi for onward distribution.
With the latest arrival, China has so far dispatched four consignments of relief aid to Pakistan, carrying a total of 45,000 blankets, 20,000 tents, 100 boats, 1,000 life jackets and 5,000 sleeping bags.
Earlier, on December 26, 2025, the third consignment included 100 boats, 5,000 tents and 8,000 blankets. The second consignment, which reached Pakistan on October 4, 2025, comprised 16,000 blankets, 700 tents, 1,000 life jackets and 4,000 sleeping bags. The first shipment, received on September 28, 2025, contained 9,000 blankets and 300 tents.
An NDMA spokesman said the authority is mobilizing all available resources to support disaster-affected communities. Relief goods, he added, will be distributed to affected areas according to assessed needs to ensure timely assistance.
