Former AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas called on Aleem Khan, joins IPP

Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Thursday called on President Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Abdul Aleem Khan at his residence and announced joining the IPP along with his colleagues.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 02 (APP): Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Thursday called on President Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Abdul Aleem Khan at his residence and announced joining the IPP along with his colleagues.

Former Agriculture Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni, former Health Minister Nisar Ansar Abdali and former Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Iftikhar Rashid, ex Advisor to President AJK Sardar Tabarak Ali were among those who joined IPP, said a press release.
Abdul Aleem Khan welcomed the new entrants and presented them with the party flag. IPP Member of the National Assembly Aun Chaudhry and IPP Punjab General Secretary and MPA Shoaib Siddiqui were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, former minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) member of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from LA-28, Taqdees Gillani, also announced her decision to join the IPP after meeting Abdul Aleem Khan.
In addition, Ejaz Khattana from LA-16, Maqbool Gujjar from LA-30 and Tahir Khokhar from LA-39 also called on Abdul Aleem Khan and announced their joining of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly joined leaders said the people of Kashmir had been disappointed by the failure of major political parties to fulfill their promises.
They said that if citizens were provided justice, employment opportunities and their due rights, there would be no reason for public unrest or protests.
They expressed confidence that Abdul Aleem Khan would implement the Party’s manifesto and lead Azad Jammu & Kashmir towards genuine development and prosperity. On the occasion, the new entrants were presented with the party flag as a symbol of their induction into the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
