Flowers instead of fines: ITP rewards law-abiding drivers
ISLAMABAD, Jul 12 (APP): Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) launched a “Flower and Candy Campaign” at I-8 Markaz to promote responsible driving and encourage compliance with traffic laws by rewarding law-abiding motorists.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan led the awareness campaign and appreciated drivers who were following traffic rules by presenting them with flowers and candies.
The official said the initiative was aimed at promoting a safe, disciplined and courteous traffic culture in the federal capital.
The ITP Education Wing also educated motorists about the importance of lane discipline, seat belt use and wearing helmets to reduce road accidents.
Drivers complying with traffic regulations were encouraged, while awareness was also provided to other road users about responsible driving practices.
CTO Kainat said observance of traffic laws was essential for protecting lives and ensuring safer roads for everyone.
She said Islamabad Traffic Police remained committed to promoting a safe and well-organized traffic system through public cooperation and continuous awareness campaigns.
The official added that the Flower and Candy Campaign received an encouraging response from citizens, who appreciated the initiative to promote positive driving behaviour.
