Five bills introduced in NA

ISLAMABAD, Mar 30 (APP):Five bills were introduced in the National Assembly on Monday and the chair referred them to the relevant committees for further deliberation.

The bills included, The Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2026, proposing amendments to the Electricity Act, 1910 (Act No. IX of 1910), The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2026, seeking further amendments to the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860; The Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, amending the Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation Act, 2005; The Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power (Amendment) Bill, 2026, proposing changes to the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power Act, 1997 (Act No. XL of 1997); and The Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) (Amendment) Bill, 2025, seeking amendments to the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 (XLVI of 2001).
