ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (APP):Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Wednesday criticised the opposition leadership for provoking people to protest and held it responsible for jamming the country’s economy.
Dr Firdous, in a tweet, said instead of provoking people to protest, Ahsan Iqbal should reconcile his leaders with one another.
Apparently the ‘looters league’ and the ‘fake accounts party’ , she said, were with Maulana Fazlur Rehman but secretly they were against him. Both the parties were two-faced, she added.
She said on what basis those who had jammed the economic wheel, were now lecturing others. It was painful for the opposition parties that rule of law was getting strong in the country, she noted.
She said had Ahsan Iqbal and his party leadership (while in government) had stopped taking personal financial benefits, then they would have thought about the country’s economic progress.
Those who were using innocent children of religious seminaries as a ‘political fuel’, should know that neither the people nor the patwaris and police were supporting them, she remarked.
She asked where was the supremacy of Parliament today. For the opposition, the Parliament was supreme only when they were part of it, she added.
