Firdous Ashiq Awan lauds AIOU’s contribution for education sector
ISLAMABAD, Jun 26 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan lauded the role of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in the educational sector and hoped it would further extend academic network to serve the marginalized section of the society.
She was talking to the students and the university’s staff during her visit to ‘Education Expo’ held here at Pak-China Friendship Center.
The minister spent some time at the stall, taking keen interest in the university’s academic programs.
She said government would support the university to promote quality education. Referring to AIOU’s Campus at Sialkot, she said she was prepared to facilitate the campus for catering the educational needs of the local students.
