Finance Ministry to ensure funds to NDMA for earthquake hit areas

ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP): Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar
Monday said the ministry would ensure provision of funds to National
Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and other institutions for relief and rescue activities.
The Finance Ministry would ensure funds where ever required for relief
and rehabilitation work in the areas badly affected by the earthquake, said a statement.
The strong earthquake hit major parts of the country on Monday causing
number of deaths and injuries.
The minister also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the
losses of life and damage caused by earthquake.
