FIA recovers Rs220 miln defaulted bank loan in commercial banking probe

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle Islamabad has recovered a defaulted bank loan of Rs220 million from M/s Zubair Feeds (Pvt.) Ltd. during an inquiry into alleged loan default.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 26 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle Islamabad has recovered a defaulted bank loan of Rs220 million from M/s Zubair Feeds (Pvt.) Ltd. during an inquiry into alleged loan default.
An FIA official told APP on Sunday that the recovery was made during Inquiry No. 98/2025, initiated on a complaint filed by Salman Arif regarding the non-payment of a loan obtained from Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited.
The official said the inquiry was conducted by Sub-Inspector Kashif Mehmood, who pursued the case professionally, resulting in the borrower clearing the entire outstanding liability.
He said Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited has formally confirmed that the loan has been repaid in full and that no outstanding amount remains against the borrower.
The official said the successful recovery reflects the FIA’s continued commitment to protecting the integrity of the banking sector, ensuring financial accountability and taking effective action against bank loan defaults.
