FIA offloads two passengers attempting to fly to Russia on multiple identities

ISLAMABAD, Jun 28 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration, Islamabad Zone, offloaded two passengers attempting to travel to Russia after detecting multiple identities and suspicious travel documents during immigration clearance at Islamabad International Airport.
An official told APP on Sunday that the two passengers, travelling on Uzbekistan Airways flight HY466 to Russia on June 27, were stopped for secondary screening after immigration officials flagged their travel documents as suspicious.
The official said a detailed examination revealed discrepancies in the passengers’ identities and travel documents.
According to the official, forensic examination of their mobile phones led to the recovery of multiple Afghan passports, one Afghan Tazkira, one Pakistani Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and one Russian document.
The official said several of the recovered documents carried the photograph of the same individual despite bearing different identities, raising strong suspicion that the suspects were using multiple identities to facilitate illegal immigration.
Preliminary investigation further revealed that one of the Afghan Tazkiras had been issued in the name of the second passenger. At the same time, the remaining documents were allegedly being used in an attempt to travel abroad through fraudulent means.
The FIA Immigration authorities offloaded both passengers and handed them over to the Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Islamabad, for further legal proceedings and investigation, the official added.
