FIA offloads suspected Afghan national on suspicious travel documents at Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD, May 11 (APP):Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration on Monday offloaded a passenger bound for Kabul at Islamabad International Airport over suspicious travel documents and suspicion of being an Afghan national.
An official told APP that the passenger, identified as Fareed Ahmad s/o Muhammad Ali, a resident of Chitral, was travelling to Kabul on Kam Air flight RQ-928.
He said during immigration clearance, the passenger was referred for secondary profiling, where detailed scrutiny of his travel documents raised suspicion that he was an Afghan national.
The official said an Afghan Tazkira was also recovered from the possession of the passenger during the action.
He said FIA offloaded the passenger and handed him over to the FIA Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad for further legal proceedings.
The official said FIA continued indiscriminate action against human smuggling and fake travel documents under its ongoing crackdown.
