ISLAMABAD, Dec 07 (APP): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration at Islamabad International Airport foiled an attempt to travel to Europe on forged documents and offloaded a passenger who was trying to board a flight to France.
An official told APP on Sunday that FIA Immigration intercepted a passenger, identified as Ahmad Raza, who was scheduled to travel to France via flight PK-749. During immigration clearance, officers examined his travel papers and found his Poland resident card to be fake.
The official added that the forged document was immediately seized, and the passenger was stopped from boarding the aircraft.
Following the detection of the fake document, the passenger was handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad for further legal action.
The FIA official said that strict action is being taken against individuals attempting to travel abroad on forged documents, and efforts to curb human trafficking will continue across the country.
