The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has concluded an inquiry that found Dr. Zahid and his wife, Sughra Zahid, formerly associated with Zara Medical Centre, Gujjar Khan, guilty of large-scale fraud and deception.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 06 (APP):The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has concluded an inquiry that found Dr. Zahid and his wife, Sughra Zahid, formerly associated with Zara Medical Centre, Gujjar Khan, guilty of large-scale fraud and deception.
According to the inquiry report, the couple deceived Muhammad Ayub Khan, a resident of Gujranwala, in 2022 by promising to send him, his wife, their three children, and ten additional individuals to Portugal. They also assured the victims that employment, housing, and other facilities would be arranged upon arrival.
In return for these promises, the accused collected a total of Rs. 132.6 million from the victims through various bank transactions and cash installments.
During the inquiry, conducted in the presence of the complainant and witnesses, including Rizwan Tufail and Khurshid Ahmed, it was revealed that the couple neither sent the family to Portugal nor fulfilled any of the agreed-upon arrangements. They also failed to return the money.
Sources further disclosed that the accused couple is allegedly involved in similar fraud and deception cases in Gujjar Khan, Lahore, and other areas.
