ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has announced that it has discontinued the issuance of manually signed attendance notices to prevent the circulation of fake or forged documents and to enhance transparency in official communication.
An FIA official told APP on Wednesday that all notices issued under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) will now be generated only through the Agency’s electronic system, and each notice will contain a unique, verifiable QR code to confirm its authenticity.
He said the public is advised to treat any notice received in any other form as suspicious.
In such cases, citizens have been instructed to immediately report the matter to the FIA through the official email address: complaints@fia.gov.pk.
The official added that this initiative aims to strengthen authenticity, transparency, and public trust, ensuring that no individual can misuse or fabricate FIA attendance notices for unlawful purposes.
