ISLAMABAD, Aug 10 (APP):On the special directives of the Director General, Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Capt. (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, the anti-encroachment operation aimed at reclaiming government land and safeguarding the rights of allottees in Sector G-15/3 has been successfully carried out.
During the operation, a total of 132 kanals of land was reclaimed, while possession of the land pertaining to all BUP cases in the sector has also been handed over to the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority.
The operation continued for four consecutive days under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner/Land Acquisition Collector Almas Sabeeh Saqib and Director Land & Enforcement Lt. (Retd.) Saad Bin Asad, with the cooperation of the concerned authorities and FGEHA teams. Anti-encroachment activities were also carried out in Sector G-15/3 today.
Earlier, during a ceremony, allotment letters and relevant documents pertaining to the reclaimed land were formally distributed among 38 affectees in the presence of Member National Assembly Anjum Aqeel Khan.
Deputy Commissioner/Land Acquisition Collector Almas Sabeeh Saqib stated that the anti-encroachment operation and reclamation of land in Sector G-15/3 represent a significant step towards safeguarding the rights of allottees and affectees. He said that the operation was effectively carried out with the cooperation of all relevant departments and that possession of the land pertaining to all BUP cases in the sector has now been secured by FGEHA.
Director Land & Enforcement Lt. (Retd.) Saad Bin Asad stated that FGEHA would continue taking indiscriminate action to protect government land and eliminate illegal encroachments. He added that necessary measures are being undertaken to utilize the reclaimed land in accordance with the Authority’s development plans and in the best interests of the allottees.
Under the leadership of Director General Capt. (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, FGEHA’s development activities will continue to be expedited, with the objective of enabling allottees to benefit from their properties at the earliest, along with the provision of essential facilities.
The ongoing operation in Sector G-15/3 is primarily aimed at clearing government land of encroachments, protecting the rights of allottees, and removing impediments to the development of the housing project. The Authority has reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency, merit and the rule of law in all development activities.
FGEHA administration has further reaffirmed its commitment to taking all necessary measures for the provision of quality, secure and modern residential facilities to federal government employees and other allottees. All lawful measures concerning the protection of land, development activities and the rights of allottees in Sector G-15/3 will continue without interruption.
