FGEHA auction of commercial plots in G-13, G-14 draws overwhelming response in Capital

ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP):The two-day auction of commercial plots in sectors G-13 and G-14, organised by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), has attracted an overwhelming response from investors and dealers in the capital, with 16 plots fetching Rs10.3 billion.
The auction, held at Aura Gandi Event Complex, Service Road East, Sector E-11/4, Islamabad, attracted significant interest from investors, particularly in commercial plots located in G-14.
Various commercial plots in prime locations, including G-14 Markaz, G-14/2, G-14/3 and G-14/4, were offered during the auction.
Talking to APP, an official spokesperson of FGEHA said the successful auction reflected growing investor confidence in G-13 and G-14, which were rapidly developing into important residential and commercial hubs of the capital.
He said commercial plots offered in G-14 received particularly strong interest from investors, while the plots in G-13 also attracted a good response.
The spokesperson said the Authority ensured a transparent, merit-based and well-organised auction process in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations.
He said such initiatives would help promote commercial activity and provide attractive investment opportunities in Islamabad.
Director General FGEHA, Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, expressed satisfaction over the successful conclusion of the auction and the strong participation of investors, saying the response reflected their confidence in the Authority and the potential of commercial investment in the capital. Director General appreciated the efforts of officers, relevant wings, the administrative team and staff for making comprehensive arrangements and ensuring the smooth, transparent and well-organised conduct of the auction.He also thanked the investors for their active participation and confidence in the Authority, saying their response contributed significantly to the success of the auction.
He informed that DG FGEHA has formed The Investor Facilitation Cell to provide investors with a centralized and direct mechanism for communication with the Authority. Investors will not be required to visit different offices or wings for guidance or resolution of their issues.Instead, they may directly approach the Director (Staff) regarding any matter, query, request or issue.
The spokesperson further said that officers and staff of FGEHA had worked diligently to make the auction a success.
He added that the Authority would soon conduct auctions of additional commercial properties to provide investors with further investment opportunities.
